Candied Ginger Ice Cream: a uniquely great flavour

I was at “New Concept”, which is a Japanese sushi restaurant at the beaches and came across this cool flavour.  You don’t typically associate “ginger” when it comes to ice cream flavours, so when the waitress went through their list of flavours, and ginger was last on the list, I couldn’t resist.  I mean come on, how many times can you eat “Green Tea” ice cream before realizing that there must be hundreds of other flavours out there.

Who knows, this might open up the doors for other flavours like Soy Sauce, Wasabi, Edimame or Tuna flavoured ice cream ?? Or Maybe not.  Whatever the case, Candied Ginger Ice cream, although an acquired taste, is definitely a good eat in my book.
