Latenight Snack: Proscuitto Sandwich
I have been in the restaurant industy for probably over 12 years now and my life has been affected as a result of it. Side affects include and are not limited to; eating lavishly, long days, long nights, lack of social life, and one of the most predominate…LATENIGHT SNACKING! By Latenight I mean 12am, 2am and sometimes even 4am. I just get these cravings for savory delights either while Im sleeping, about to sleep or just getting in from a late night at the restaurant. Those in the industry can agree with me that when you get home from a crazy 10-12 hour shift, you just can’t sleep instantly. Your body has the natural tendency to wanna ride out the adrenaline, which may sometimes take a couple of hours. During the process, you eventually get hungry and want to eat something.
Whatever the case, I actually don’t mind because I somehow come up with my best creations. The other night around 12am, I was about to brush before going to bed when I had the sudden craving for proscuitto. Luckily, there is a Metro (formerly Dominion) grocery store right by my house, so I decided to not let my stomach down.
